Laptop Review

Laptop review

The following is a review of MacBook laptops compared to PC (Microsoft). A laptop or a notebook is a portable personal computer. A laptop combines the components and inputs of a desktop computer, including display, speakers, keyboards and pointing device, such as a touch pad or a track pad, into a single device. Portable computers, which later developed into modern laptops, were originally considered to be a small niche market. As laptop computers developed over time and became more modern, the computers became smaller, lighter, cheaper, and more powerful. Laptops became very widely used for a variety of purposes. Mac laptops have been around since 2006. Macbook took the world of laptops by storm. There have been several versions of the Macbook, such as the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air. Apple brand is one of the leading laptop providers along with PC.

Price

The cost of laptops will vary. If you are looking at a Mac, you will spend at least over $1,000. As for a PC, you can purchase one for about $300 to $700. There are a lot of different reasons why the price is so different for each. There are many factors such as hardware, software, and just preferences in general.

Hardware

The differences between PC and Mac laptop products in hardware vary. At any given point, Apple offers only around five computer models. With PCs, however, you can customize your computer with as many or as few options as you want. Another difference between the two computers' hardware is PCs are designed to be upgraded. If you buy a base model PC today, you can add more memory, a better graphics card and a whole host of hardware options at a later date. Macs, on the other hand, aren't meant to be modified, although you can add RAM when necessary. For most people, the need to expand and modify their computer isn't a concern, but for serious gamers and techies, not being able to tweak their computer can be a big drawback.

Pros

If you are a person who designs a lot, a Macbook would be best due to the fact that the screen resolution is better in color. The Macbook is also compatible with most design softwares, such as the cloud or CC. On the other hand, PC is better if you are doing coding, financial or other related tasks. With a PC, you can also start from scratch and build your own computer or add on to an existing one to fit your needs.

Cons

On the other hand, if you buy a base model PC and you have technical problems, it will be harder for you to get the help you need. This is especially difficult if you build the laptop yourself. Apple however has only a few computers and very little errors, because they have an efficient operating system.  Also, with Apple you cannot add more features, you get what you pay for up front.

Conclusion

I would recommend the Mac laptop for anyone who is a designer or wants to design. Mac laptops have great operating systems that will not crash often. This is helpful if you are not tech savvy. If you are tech savvy, I would recommend the PC. The PC has a lot more to offer if you want to create your own laptop or have more options in the operating system.
