When it comes to finding the best boat for you, it may get
overwhelming at times. There are thousands of boats to choose from that claim
they have what it takes to be your next best investment. When picking your
perfect boat, keep in mind what exactly you want your boat offer you.
The Sea Ray 220 Sundeck is perfect a large family with kids
or even just a single woman who is looking to have some fun. Without a doubt,
this boat provides an affordable entry into the realm of both style and
performance. I can assure you that you will not be able to find all of the
features that this 22 foot boat has to offer on any other boat similar.
I am here to introduce to you the hands-down best investment
you will make. If you want to entertain another couple, go fishing with your
best friend, waterski, or just have a plain old relaxing day on the lake, this
boat is perfect for you.
Sea Ray 220 Sundeck Key Features
Spaciousness
One of the most significant features this boat offers is how
Sea Ray takes advantage of the beam to add spaciousness. This is clearly apparent
throughout the entire boat as the amount of useable space is quite significant.
Sea Ray is intelligent in captivating their space as the Sundeck holds 12 people
whereas many competitor’s models of this same size (22 feet) hold just 10
people. This is a direct benefit to boaters such as myself, friends will come
out of the woodwork.
The wide walkthrough creates easy movement for passengers from from to rear of boat. The wide walkthrough leads to the luxurious entrance gate onto the integral swim platform which is ideal for fishing, sunbathing, lounging, and anything in between.
With the depth of the cockpit at a whopping 35" high, parents will appreciate the sense of security they will feel with pets, like me or young children aboard. Speaking of pets and children, they traditionally leave a mess right? You do not have to worry too much about cleaning up spilled juice, pet hair, or cracker crumbs on board as the carpet throughout the entire boat is snapping and is fully removable. Watch out though, the snaps are metal and will feel might hot on the pads of your feet on a hot, sunny day.

Storage
The storage space in the Sundeck is endless. There is plenty
of room for all things you may need to bring onboard and then some. Something that I really enjoy is how the helm
console storage is lockable. Thus allowing me to leave personal belongings
onboard when I am not on my boat leading me to feel at ease. There is also additional storage under each seat on the bow, personally I use this storage for extra beach towels and sunscreen.
The cooler compartment is ideal for those avoiding to stub
their toes and get this large item out of the way. Although the silver lever that holds your cooler in place is easy
to pinch your fingers on. It is a win-loose option. The 12 cup holders on board will ensure that at least each person on board will get a cup holder if the boat is at max capacity.
The anchor rope storage locker on the bow of the boat is
very handy to keep your anchor in as it is out of the way. This compartment
also includes the four-step beach reboarding ladder. The downside about this is
that the latch for this compartment is a turn and close type to lock, which are
very commonly used, although they seem to always be turned the wrong way
leaving the hatch inadvertently unlocked and allowing it to start flapping open
when speed is added. This boat has other latches such as the one that
automatically latches when the compartment is closed, I cannot seem to
understand why that was not used on the anchor rope storage locker. Also, this
compartment would be even better if it had a cleat right by it or even inside
of it to attach the anchor to the boat as you have to bring the anchor over to
the side of the boat once it is out of the compartment to tie up.
The Helm Station
The helm station is beyond impressive and very nicely designed. The layout includes a Smart Craft instrumentation package with a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gage, trim tabs, and a water temperature gage which are all backlit. Troll control, lighting controls, and a compass are other features at the helm. Something that I particularly love about the helm station is the blue illumination that the compass has at night to ensure you find you way back home.
The steering wheel is built just right as it is stainless steel and it tilts allowing the captain to personally adjust to fit their body and makes access to the helm seat a breeze. Additionally, this is where you will find a shift and throttle lever with a built in out-drive trim button and ignition circuit switches. The helm seat even rotates 360 degrees, which is a big plus when you want to combine pleasure with safety.
You will also find an additional control for the wireless Bluetooth Bose stereo system here at the helm. I personally love this feature as it is out of the way, yet you do not have to open the helm console just to plug in your iPod, change the radio station or adjust the volume.

Your overall flow of the post seems to be very easy to understand and the visual hierarchy is perfect. My only comment on the visual aspect of it would be, if you're going to have everything left justified, then I would put your image on the left also since it kind of breaks the flow of the post with a centered image. OR just change your heading title to be centered and it would work perfectly. I think you have the potential to add a couple hypertext in the pricing section of the post. And since we do need this to be a little bit longer i would actually make your feature section into paragraphs too, this will help by a lot to make your post well over the 800 words, as of right now that many items in a list is a little tiring on the eyes, but it can be effective if it's broken into two columns instead of one.
ReplyDeleteOverall I think it's a very good post and you seem to have an understanding of what it is you're reviewing. I cannot think of anything that isn't here in that would be needed for those who are first looking to buy boats. I think you covered it all pretty well, just some areas such as the features need to be gone into with further detail than a bulleted list. Also there is a couple grammar issues that you might want to fix, I believe in the 2nd paragraph it was meant to say "perfect for a family". Also the with the bulleted list, i doubt this was intentional, but the one item isn't spaced properly.
I think you have a typo in your first sentence.. the last 4 words. Not sure if I missed it, but in your intro you talked about fishing, does the boat have a place to store the fish you catch?
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job adding what it includes for the features, and adding the picture graph with its dynamics. It's helpful for anyone looking to purchase this boat.
I also like when you say hands down best investment, it sounds confident.
The obvious things is that you need more information and words. I would consider changing the word specs into something else
This is essentially a description. Where is your evaluation? On what grounds can you say this is a fantastic investment?
ReplyDeleteThe content seems good for the genre, you do a great job of answering all the questions you'd want to know. It has a nice flow and organization that works well, the headings really help to separate the information. The voice and tone are done really well, it's very confident and friendly and suggest first hand use. Visually it's heavily weighted to the left side, except for the top. You might want to balance that out or make it all the same. You could add a little more detail about the features that make this boat stand out as great for (whatever) to add more words/info maybe.
